Aimee and Danny came all the way from Philadelphia, USA to elope to Scotland, and honestly, their day was so much fun. They wanted something relaxed, fun and full of amazing views, and that’s exactly what they got.
The day started at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Craigendarroch Suites Scotland, where they got ready with their family and friends. Before heading out to Slains, they had the sweetest first look at the forest in the grounds of the hotel. Danny’s face when he saw Aimee for the first time? Absolutely priceless. (we may have mentioned it before but we LOVE a first look)
Then it was off to Slains Castle north of Aberdeen.
If you’ve never been, it’s this epic, windswept castle ruin perched on the cliffs above the sea. With waves crashing below and seagulls flying overhead, it was the perfect spot for Aimee and Danny to say their vows. Andrew Scott, their celebrant (and the most Scottish looking man ever) crushed the ceremony as always.
After the ceremony, we wandered around the castle and along the cliffs to take some photos. Aimee and Danny were laughing and having fun the whole time. The way they just fit together was so obvious, and honestly, it made our job as their Scotland elopement photographers super easy.
Their day was all about doing things their way – no stress, just love, adventure and a whole lot of fun. If you’re thinking about ditching the big wedding and deciding to elope to Scotland, we’d love to help you create a day that feels just as magical as Aimee and Danny’s.
Scotland really is the best place to elope. Slains Castle? 10/10 would recommend. Let’s make it happen for you too!
