Build your package
Pick a date and a place, film or no film. Your price is on the screen before we know your name.
Book it
Tell us it’s a yes. We check a couple of things our end, like the date and the castle if you’re after Midhope, then send your contract. Book and pay securely online. Want a chat first? Happy to. It’s just not compulsory.
We plan it together
A WhatsApp group with us from the day you book. Locations, timings, suppliers, the order of the elopement. We’ll walk you through the legal paperwork and introduce you to the people who handle it.
You turn up
We collect you, we drive, we photograph the lot. You get to actually enjoy it.
The bits you’re worried about
Can we legally get married in Scotland?
Yes. Plenty of Americans do. There’s paperwork and a deadline, and your notice has to be in at least 29 days before. Can’t be bothered reading all that? Take the two-minute quiz instead.
What if it rains?
It will at some point. Rain looks great in photos. Sideways hail doesn’t, so we’ll find you a roof. We’ve moved ceremonies the night before to catch a better window, and switched locations on the morning because the wind changed.
One of us hates having their photo taken.
Most of our couples say that. We don’t do stiff posing. We give you something to do, then get out of the way. Give it half an hour.
We’re not hikers.
Good news: you don’t have to be. Plenty of our favourite spots are a short walk from the car. Tell us what you’re up for and we’ll plan around it.
Two photographers at a wedding for two? Won’t that feel crowded?
No. Matt’s behind the main camera. Jodie’s catching what he can’t, like your partner’s face while you read your vows. The rest of the time she’s fixing your hair, clipping in the veil, holding the bouquet and finding you a coffee. You’ll wonder how anyone does this without her.
Sending money to a business in another country?
Fair worry. You book with a proper contract and pay securely online by card, and our booking system handles the currency, so you know exactly what you’re paying. You pay to book and the rest is due eight weeks before your elopement. Read every word of the contract before you pay a penny.
We’re Jodie and Matt
We met in an office. Our story is basically Jim and Pam (IYKYK). Three kids, two and a half dogs (we can explain that later) and a cat called Poppy. Obsessed with Harry Potter, Outlander (obvs), The Office and Big Bang Theory, and still pissed about the ending of Game of Thrones.
We also happen to do this brilliant job. We’re based just outside Edinburgh, and we used to live in Glencoe. More than 250 elopements across Scotland over more than a decade. It’s all we do.
Matt photographs your elopement. Jodie shoots too, and makes sure you look like you haven’t just walked through a gale. It’s just the two of us, and we’ll look after you the way we’d want looking after.
How we photograph elopements across Scotland
No fixed schedule, no template. Some couples want a Highland mountain at sunrise. Others want the Old Town in the rain and a pub lunch after.
We plan around the weather, not the other way round. Ten years of Scottish forecasts will do that to you.
Matt is your photographer. Jodie is the second camera and your right hand. She gets the wide shot while Matt’s in close, and she’ll touch up your makeup, check your hair and carry everything. You won’t miss a moment, and you won’t spend the day holding your own coat.
Afterwards you get a curated gallery. Every image is hand edited. No filler, no fifty near-identical frames to wade through.
