Planning a wedding from the other side of the world is hard
Most of our couples have never been to Scotland. You’re choosing a date, a place and a handful of suppliers you’ve only ever emailed, and hoping it all comes together on a day that matters more than any other. That’s a lot to carry on your own.
There’s a quieter worry too. That after all the effort, the day feels stiff and posed. More photoshoot than wedding.
That’s the part we take off you.
How we help
As hands-on or hands-off as you like
Some couples hand us the lot: locations, the timeline, the order of the day, and introductions to the suppliers we’d book ourselves. Others have most of it sorted and just want us to turn up and shoot. Both are completely fine. The one thing we can’t do is the legal paperwork, no photographer or planner can, but we’ll point you to the people who handle it.
We keep it relaxed
No stiff posing, no barking instructions. We give you something to do and stay out of your way, so the day feels like yours. With two of us, one is always catching the real moments.
Photos you’ll love
A gallery where every image earns its place. No filler, no fifty near-identical frames to wade through. Just the day as it actually felt.
Behind the Lens
We’re Jodie and Matt
We met in an office. Our story is basically Jim and Pam (IYKYK). Three kids, two and a half dogs (we can explain that later) and a cat called Poppy. Obsessed with Harry Potter, Outlander (obvs), The Office, Big Bang Theory and still pissed about the ending of Game of Thrones.
We also happen to do this brilliant job. We live on the edge of the Highlands and we’ve photographed 250+ elopements here over more than a decade. It’s all we do. We know the places, the weather, the people worth introducing you to, and how to keep a wedding day calm when you’re four thousand miles from home.
We’re not a faceless studio or a Johnny-come-lately. It’s just the two of us, and we’ll look after you the way we’d want looking after.

How we photograph elopements across Scotland
Every elopement is different. Some couples want a Highland mountain at sunrise. Others want Edinburgh’s Old Town in the rain. Some want a full day across multiple locations. Others want two hours and a pub lunch.
We work with what you want. There’s no fixed schedule and no template we force you into.
We adapt to the weather. If the forecast shifts, we shift with it. We’ve moved ceremony times the night before because we spotted a window of better light. We’ve switched locations on the morning because the wind changed direction.
That flexibility only works because we know Scotland properly. Ten years of it. Every season. Every kind of weather.
Two of us photograph the whole day. While one captures your vows, the other catches your partner’s reaction. While one gets the wide shot, the other is right there for the close-up. Nothing gets missed.
We also look after you. Bouquet holding, hair fixing, coat carrying. Whatever you need on the day. Two photographers means two people in your corner. Not just two cameras.
Afterwards, you get a curated gallery where every image has been individually edited. No filler. No duplicates. No scrolling past hundreds of nearly identical shots. Just images worth framing.
Whether it’s Glencoe, Edinburgh, the Cairngorms or the coast. The process is the same. We make it work for you, wherever you choose.
