Scottish Highland landscape with couple at elopement

Scotland Elopement Photographers

You want to elope in Scotland.
You just need to find the right team.

We think that’s us.250+ elopements. Two photographers. Every time.

Let’s Talk

You didn’t come this far for another performance.

Most couples land here because they’ve seen what a wedding can become. Choreographed. Scheduled to the minute. Forty group photos where everyone’s squinting. A day that’s about how it looks on Instagram instead of how it actually felt.

Eloping in Scotland doesn’t fix that automatically. You can still end up with a photographer who poses you for two hours, a celebrant reading off a script, and a day that feels like a production.

That’s not what we do.

What you get instead

No posing

We don’t tell you where to put your hands or how to tilt your head. We give you something to do. We photograph what happens.

No timeline panic

We work backwards from sunset, not forwards from a spreadsheet. If the weather shifts we shift with it. If your ceremony runs long, fine.

No filler photos

Two of us shooting all day means we catch more. It also means you don’t get every shot. You get the ones worth having.

Behind the Lens

We’ve photographed 250+ elopements in Scotland

Most of them from the US or Canada. Some from further afield. A few from the UK. All of them planning something important from miles away, trusting people they’d only emailed.

We get it. We’ve been doing this for over a decade and it’s all we do. We live on the edge of the Highlands so we know the locations, the weather, the suppliers, the legals. We’re not wedding photographers who occasionally shoot an elopement.

We’re also Jodie and Matt. Parents to three kids, two and a half dogs (we can explain) and one grumpy cat. We met in an office which makes us basically Jim and Pam. Matt’s a Harry Potter obsessive. Jodie loves Outlander. We’re still not over the ending of Game of Thrones.

How we photograph elopements across Scotland

Couple getting ready in Scotland

Every elopement is different. Some couples want a Highland mountain at sunrise. Others want Edinburgh’s Old Town in the rain. Some want a full day across multiple locations. Others want two hours and a pub lunch.

We work with what you want. There’s no fixed schedule and no template we force you into.

We adapt to the weather. If the forecast shifts, we shift with it. We’ve moved ceremony times the night before because we spotted a window of better light. We’ve switched locations on the morning because the wind changed direction.

That flexibility only works because we know Scotland properly. Ten years of it. Every season. Every kind of weather.

Natural, relaxed elopement photography

Two of us photograph the whole day. While one captures your vows, the other catches your partner’s reaction. While one gets the wide shot, the other is right there for the close-up. Nothing gets missed.

We also look after you. Bouquet holding, hair fixing, coat carrying. Whatever you need on the day. Two photographers means two people in your corner. Not just two cameras.

Couple celebrating after ceremony

Afterwards, you get a curated gallery where every image has been individually edited. No filler. No duplicates. No scrolling past hundreds of nearly identical shots. Just images worth framing.

Whether it’s Glencoe, Edinburgh, the Cairngorms or the coast. The process is the same. We make it work for you, wherever you choose.
