Scotland Elopement Photography Pricing

Two photographers. Every elopement.

That’s not normal. But it should be.

Two photographers. Every time.

Most elopement photographers work alone. You get one person, one angle, one pair of eyes trying to capture everything at once. They’re shooting you during the vows and missing the look on your partner’s face. They’re getting the wide landscape shot and missing the moment you wiped your eyes.

We don’t work like that. There are two of us at every single elopement. While one of us is with you, the other is somewhere else entirely, catching the stuff you didn’t even know was happening. The stolen glances. The reactions. The whole picture, not just half of it.

We’re also not just photographers. We live on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. We’ve photographed over 200 elopements here. And depending on what you need, we can help plan everything from locations and suppliers to your Scotland trip itself.

Two photographers, local knowledge, and as much or as little planning help as you want.

Why two photographers matters

Here’s the thing about elopements: the best moments happen at the same time. You’re saying your vows while your partner is trying not to cry. You’re walking toward each other while the mountains are doing something ridiculous behind you. One photographer has to choose. We don’t.

Two of us also means two people looking after you. Someone to hold your bouquet. Someone to fix your hair. Someone to tell you where to stand and someone to catch the bit where you ignore that advice completely.

90% of elopement photographers in Scotland work solo. We think that’s mad. You’ve come all this way for one day. Why would you settle for half the coverage?

Two angles

Every moment captured from both sides. Nothing missed.

Two people looking after you

More support, more hands, more help on the day.

Twice the story

Your gallery tells the full day, not just the bits one person could reach.

We’re a couple too

We get it. We know what matters. And we actually like each other.

We know this place inside out

We’re not wedding photographers who occasionally shoot an elopement. This is all we do. We live on the edge of the Scottish Highlands and we photograph elopements here every single month.

We know which locations will be empty and which will be crawling with tour buses. We know where the sun sets in every season. Matt can tell when rain is coming just from the air pressure (seriously).

That kind of knowledge doesn’t come from a location scout. It comes from a decade of living and working here.

“We trusted them completely and they made the whole experience fun and stress-free. I don’t think there are enough positive words in the dictionary to properly describe what it is to elope in Scotland, let alone to have The Sassenachs be your guides.”

Quality over Quantity

Every image curated. Every frame intentional.

Think about the things you value most. Your favourite piece of jewellery. A beautiful piece of art. That one item in your wardrobe you’ll never throw away. You don’t have dozens of them. You have one. Maybe two. That’s what makes them precious.

We take the same approach with your gallery.

Every image we deliver has earned its place. We’re not handing you a hard drive and leaving you to figure out what’s good. We’re giving you a considered, curated collection where every single frame tells part of your story.

This means more time on each image. When we’re not rushing through hundreds of photos, we can spend five times longer on every single frame. That’s the difference between a quick tweak and real, considered editing.

The result? A gallery where every image stops you. Where you don’t scroll past anything. Where thirty years from now, you’re holding a collection of photographs that still make you feel something.

That’s what quality over quantity actually means.

Your photographers can also be your celebrants

We can perform a non-legal ceremony as part of your elopement. Handfasting, quaich, oathing stone, personal vows, or any other tradition you’d like to include. It’s completely up to you.

It means the people saying your vows are the same people who’ve been helping you plan for months. No stranger reading from a script. No awkward introductions on the morning of your wedding. Just us, doing what we always do, except now we’re also the ones tying the knot for you.

If you need a legally binding ceremony, we’ll introduce you to celebrants we know and trust.

This is included with every booking — saving you the £500-750 a separate celebrant would cost.

We’re probably not right for you if…

  • You’re looking for the cheapest option available
  • Photography isn’t really a priority for your day
  • You want a rigid, minute-by-minute schedule with no flexibility
  • You’d rather stay clean and dry than climb a hill for a better view
  • You want 500+ photos and don’t mind if most of them are duplicates

We’re exactly right for you if…

  • You want to actually enjoy your wedding day, not just survive it
  • You want two photographers who’ve done this hundreds of times
  • You’d rather laugh than hold an awkward pose
  • You’re ready to hand over the stress and just be present
  • You’d rather have a handful of perfect images than 500 forgettable ones

Questions you’re probably asking

What does the non-legal ceremony include?

Whatever you want it to. We can do handfasting, quaich ceremonies, oathing stones, personal vows, or any other tradition that means something to you. It’s your ceremony, we just help make it happen. This is included with every booking at no extra cost. If you need a legally binding ceremony, we’ll introduce you to celebrants we trust.

Why two photographers?

Because one person can’t be in two places at once. While one of us captures you reading your vows, the other is catching your partner’s reaction. While one gets the wide landscape shot, the other is right there for the close-up. You end up with a fuller, more complete story of your day. Most elopement photographers in Scotland work solo. We think you deserve better than that.

Do I need the planning add-on?

Depends. If you’ve already sorted your locations, suppliers, accommodation and know your way around Scotland, you probably don’t. If you’re coming from abroad and want someone who’s done this 200+ times to handle all of that for you, then yes. Most of our couples from overseas add it because trying to plan a wedding in a country you’ve never been to is properly stressful.

Do you travel anywhere in Scotland?

Everywhere on the mainland, yes — and travel is included in the price. We no longer photograph on Skye because it’s become too busy. Your ceremony deserves a bit of privacy.

Can we legally get married in Scotland?

Yes. And we’ll point you in the right direction whether you add planning or not. Most of our couples come from abroad, and we know the paperwork, timelines, and options inside out. Full details here.

Do we need to pay in pounds?

Nope. Our booking system handles currency conversion automatically, so you’ll always know exactly what you’re paying — no surprises.

What if the weather is terrible?

Welcome to Scotland. Honestly, some of our favourite photos have come from “terrible” weather — moody skies, dramatic clouds, rain that makes everything feel cinematic. We’ll work with it, find shelter when you need it, and make sure you still have a brilliant day.

How many photos will I get?

We don’t put a number on it. Every image in your gallery will be one you actually want to look at — no filler, no duplicates, no scrolling past dozens of nearly-identical shots. Quality over quantity, always.

What does the video add-on include?

A cinematic highlights film of your day — your vows, the landscape, the laughter, the bits that photographs can’t quite capture. It’s the thing your family will watch when they want to feel like they were there. Add it to your elopement for +£1,000.
