We are from the States, so planning our little wedding from afar was a bit daunting, but from our first zoom call with Matt and Jodie we knew they were the team we wanted to shoot our wedding. We actually found them on Instagram and fell in love with their style and then meeting them and getting to know them was icing on the cake. The day of our ceremony they were game for anything. They were fun and total pros. We are so in love with our photos. Everyone can’t stop saying how the photos look like they came straight out of a movie! We definitely recommend them!

If you are looking for wedding photographers, stop your search now! Matt and Jodie have been like family to us while working 6,500 miles away in Las Vegas for our wedding. From the first video call to meeting in person while we were in Scotland to the best wedding and the connection we’ve made, we did not only get the most amazing and dramatic wedding photos we were searching for but we had photographers who became family to us and everyone involved. We were searching for a dramatic elopement effect with a small wedding in the Ardnamurchan peninsula (south of Skye) at a family castle. Matt and Jodie were so excited to jump on board with us and help create our vision perfectly! Please have a chat with them and let them bring your vision to life! Thank you so much Matt and Jodie! Jodie and Matt made eloping even easier than I thought eloping would be. They had locations planned out, were super fun and friendly, helped pose me and my non photogenic husband, and helped connect us to an officiant. When things didn’t go to plan (unrelenting wind and freezing rain) they offered to meet up with us the next day if we couldn’t push through, but we were determined and ended up with photos beyond our expectations!! I am not kidding, every single photo we show people they say they’re the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen – even better than their own. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I couldn’t imagine doing it with any other photographers. I wish I could divorce and do it all over again.

Fashionably late with our review.. but almost a year later and we are still in awe over our photos and elopement in general. I still cry to our video and surely always will. It was impeccable and moving. Matt and Jodie were extremely professional with an addition of a light hearted and giddy twist to keep us on our toes and always laughing! We were so thankful they were always able to sneak us in for a video chat or answer our emails swiftly. Even with a location change under 3 months away they still managed to pull it off and arrange hair, makeup, and locations for us which we are so so grateful for. Added bonus is they love The Office just as much as we do (and obviously Outlander which I’m obsessed with)! We couldn’t have had our elopement without their advice, guidance, and expertise. Matt and Jodie brought us to the best spots in surrounding Glencoe areas and had us fall in love with Scotland. We can’t wait to be back for a visit, and hopefully permanently in future!

Best Decision Ever! Jodie and Matt are so amazing at what they do. From the start, they were more than just photographers. They helped with planning, gave great advice, and made everything easy, even from across the world. On the day of, they were so lovely to hang out with. They drove us all over Glencoe to get the most stunning backdrops, guided us through every shot so we felt natural, and even made sure we stayed warm in the cold weather. We trusted them completely and they made the whole experience fun and stress-free. Then came the photos… wow. Every single one was breathtaking. They walked us through how to access them and stayed in touch afterward. Jodie and Matt truly care about their couples and it shows in everything they do. Working with them was easily one of the best parts of our elopement and we’re so grateful we found them!

We had the most amazing & incredible experience working with both Matt & Jodie for our elopement in Isle of Skye. We are absolutely in love with our stunning photos & beautiful video!! When we were first looking into photographers, one of the reasons the Sassenachs jumped out at us was because of the videography & photography option, and I’m SO glad we went with this, multiple friends said they cried while watching the video and it was the perfect way to share our day with family & friends even though they weren’t in attendance. Matt & Jodie were so helpful and easy to coordinate and communicate with us – despite the time difference (we are east coast US based) and they were willing to meet with us after work-our time, even though it was late at night in the UK, and we could not be more appreciative of that! Not to mention answering random questions about where to buy a stoll or places to go. They drove us all over Skye for 8 hours capturing different locations & views.

Wow. We have just finished our final meeting with Matt and Jodie to view our video and photos and it feels like a little piece of us gone 💔 We had the most amazing time with them where we felt immediately at ease. We laughed, cried with laughter and cried with joy. What amazing and professional people and all round great humans they are. Life tends to throw you some curveballs and we never felt the ripples of that with them by our side. We had the absolute pleasure of having Matt and Jodie for our elopement and wedding celebration with family and friends. I cannot recommend them enough – to everyone. You can expect to feel totally at ease with The Sassenachs and will never be disappointed at any stage. We have to plan renewing our vows just so we can spend time with them again in the future!

Matt and Jodie are hands down the most amazing and fun photographers! The ability to help you plan your wedding and pull it all off! Even when your flowers don’t come as planned and Jodie has to turn into an amazing florist as well as photographer. You will laugh till you cry with them and they will capture every moment so you can continue to cherish it forever. We left Scotland married and with new friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

My wife Charlotte and I got married in Spain, where our home is, but we had a little piece of our heart far from here, in Scotland. We found The Sassenachs and instantly fell in love with their work, how they capture all the ambiance and magic of this country in a photo. They were very helpful, very kind, and funny. We almost froze because of the weather, that lovely weather from Scotland, but Matt and Jodie made us laugh and have a great time, kept us warm, and when needed, froze with us. We will never forget this amazing trip. After the long wait (not really that long), we finally have at our home the photos of our wedding day and the photos of our heartfelt wedding from Scotland.

Jodie and Matt were amazing! From the start, we knew we chose the perfect photographers for our elopement. As soon as we met them, we felt like we were all old friends getting together again. We are both introverts who do not like getting our pictures taken, yet they put us at ease and made us feel comfortable throughout the process.
