All-Inclusive Elopements in Scotland

You want someone to handle everything. We get it. But “all-inclusive” might not mean what you think.

If you’ve landed here searching for “all-inclusive elopement Scotland”, you’re probably hoping someone will just take care of everything. You’re planning from thousands of miles away, you don’t know the suppliers, you don’t know the locations, and you want to show up and get married without the stress.

That’s a completely reasonable thing to want.

But before you book a castle package or a venue bundle, there’s something you should know: those Pinterest photos you’ve been saving — the ones with couples on mountaintops at golden hour, dramatic skies, rain-soaked embraces in Glencoe — they weren’t taken at venues. They were taken by photographers who had the freedom to chase the light.

What “All-Inclusive” Usually Means

When you see an all-inclusive elopement package advertised in Scotland, it typically means one of two things: a venue bundling their own services together, or a photographer who’s partnered with specific suppliers and coordinates everything for a fee.

Castle and venue packages are often more expensive than you’d expect — and they come with limitations that aren’t obvious when you’re browsing websites at midnight.

You’re locked to one location. Your ceremony time is dictated by their schedule, not by when the light is most beautiful. You’ve got a dinner reservation at 7pm, which means you can’t wait for that storm to pass and capture the dramatic sky that follows. And if the weather’s glorious at 4pm but your slot was 2pm? Too bad.

These packages exist because they’re efficient. For the venue, anyway. They’re production-line elopements: in, married, out, next couple.

If that’s what you want, genuinely, no judgment. But if you’ve been dreaming of something more — something that actually feels like an adventure — it’s worth knowing there’s another way.

What You Actually Want

When couples tell us they want an all-inclusive package, what they usually mean is: “I don’t want to stress about this. I don’t want to spend hours researching celebrants and florists in a country I’ve never been to. I want someone who knows what they’re doing to handle it.”

That’s not the same as wanting a pre-set package where everything’s already decided for you.

What you actually want is flexibility. The freedom to start your morning in Edinburgh and say your vows in the Highlands that afternoon. To have your ceremony when the light is perfect, not when a venue’s calendar says. To chase the rain if the sky looks dramatic, or wait it out if it doesn’t. To wander, explore, and let the day unfold naturally.

That’s how you get the photos you’ve been dreaming about. Not locked in a castle courtyard at 2pm because that’s when your slot is.

“They made the whole experience fun and stress-free. I don’t think there are enough positive words in the dictionary to properly describe what it is to elope in Scotland, let alone to have The Sassenachs be your guides.”

How We Work

We’re elopement photographers who also help with planning. That means you get the guidance and stress-free experience you’re looking for — without being locked into a rigid package or a single location.

We’ve photographed over 200 elopements across Scotland. We know the locations inside out, including the ones that don’t show up on Pinterest. We know which celebrants are brilliant, which florists do stunning work, which hair and makeup artists will travel to a remote Highland cottage at 6am.

When you book us, we don’t hand you a list of suppliers and wish you luck. We check availability on your behalf, then introduce you directly once we’ve confirmed they can do your date. The handoff is done. You’re not coordinating from 4,000 miles away — we’ve already done it.

We help you find accommodation that photographs beautifully. We plan your day around the light, the weather, and what actually matters to you. And on the day itself, we’re there the whole time — not just as photographers, but as your guides.

Why We Don’t Do Rigid Timelines

Be wary of any photographer — or venue — that hands you a minute-by-minute schedule months in advance and expects you to stick to it.

How can they possibly know what the weather’s going to do? What if the rain clears at 4pm and suddenly there’s the most incredible light? Are you going to miss it because the spreadsheet says you should be at dinner?

We have a shape for the day — a sense of when things need to happen to catch the best light, to make sure hair and makeup are done, to get you to your ceremony spot at the right moment. But within that? The day unfolds naturally.

If you’re having a moment, we give you space. If the sky suddenly breaks open with golden light, we grab you. If you need five more minutes, you take five more minutes.

The best elopement days don’t feel directed. They feel like they just… happened. Like magic.

That’s not an accident. That’s us, doing our job properly.

The Investment

Our photography and planning packages start at £5,000. That includes both of us — two photographers, all day — plus all the planning support we’ve described: location guidance, supplier introductions, accommodation recommendations, and help building a day that works for you.

On top of that, you’ll book your suppliers directly. A celebrant typically costs £500–£800. Hair and makeup runs £150–£300. Flowers can be £100–£300 depending on what you want.

Here’s the thing: this is often less expensive than the castle packages you’ve been looking at. And you’re getting more flexibility, more locations, and the kind of photos that made you want to elope to Scotland in the first place.

We’ve written a full breakdown of elopement costs if you want to see exactly where the money goes.

“It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I couldn’t imagine doing it with any other photographers. They made us feel so comfortable and captured our day perfectly.”

Is This Right for You?

If you genuinely want someone else to make every decision and you’re happy with a single location and a fixed schedule, a venue package might be exactly what you need. No judgment — some people really do prefer that approach.

But if the photos matter to you — if the experience matters — if you want the flexibility to chase the light and embrace the weather and actually have an adventure — then what we offer might be more what you’re looking for.

We don’t do cookie-cutter. We do elopements that feel like you.
