Old man of storr elopement photography
We have been Isle of Skye Elopement Photographers for a number of years and the Old Man of Storr is probably the most iconic location that we are asked to photograph at!
The Old Man of Storr is situated in the north of the Isle of Skye in the Trotternish area.
Famous for its maginficent scenery and views, the Old Man of Storr is a popular hotspot for hikers, hill walkers and photographers – and now, adventurous couples who want to have their wedding in the most jaw-dropping location. The Old Man is a large standing formation of rock part of the Trotternish ridge.
Approximately 8 miles North of Portree, the Old Man of Storr walk starting point is easily reached by car and by bus from the town.
If you choose this as your location – be warned! It is quite a hard hike to the top – especially in wedding gear! A decent level of fitness is needed! But don’t let that put you off – the views are 100% worth it!
Looking for something similar but without the strenuous walk? The Quiraing may be the answer! Check out our Quiraing Elopement Photography page.
