First and foremost, mental health is at the core of this decision. Social media has a way of creeping into every corner of our lives, demanding our attention and energy. The constant need to post, engage, and stay relevant has started to weigh heavily on us. We found ourselves caught in the endless scroll, losing precious time and peace of mind. It became clear that the digital noise was overshadowing the serene beauty we aim to capture in every photograph.
We’ve noticed that social media can inadvertently shape not only the expectations of our clients but make us second guess ourselves. Trends come and go, often creating a pressure to conform to what’s popular rather than what’s personal and meaningful.
We want your elopement to be a true reflection of your unique love story, not influenced by fleeting trends or the latest hashtag craze. By stepping away from social media, we hope to remove this external pressure and focus solely on creating an intimate, bespoke experience for each couple.
Another significant factor is the sheer amount of time social media demands. Crafting posts, responding to messages, and keeping up with all the algorithm changes consumes hours that could be better spent perfecting our craft. Our passion lies in exploring Scotland’s rugged beauty, capturing your magical moments, and ensuring that every detail of your Scottish elopement is perfect. Freeing ourselves from the social media grind allows us to dedicate more time and energy to what truly matters – you and your story.
And lastly, let’s not forget the pervasive negativity that often lurks in the digital realm.
The comparisons, the unsolicited critiques, and the general atmosphere of competition can be draining. We want to escape this vortex and immerse ourselves in the positive, joyful world of your elopements. Our goal is to celebrate love in its most authentic form, without the shadow of social media’s pressures and pitfalls.

We’re excited to continue creating magical memories with you, free from the constraints of social media. We probably won’t delete our Instagram account straight away but it won’t be updated with regular stories, reels and photos.
