Scottish Highland landscape with couple at elopement

Scotland Elopement Photographer

Beautiful elopement photos.
Zero nonsense.

Let’s Talk

We’re The Sassenachs — your boots-on-the-ground, camera-in-hand, elopement-obsessed team.

No pretentious poses. No “be more ethereal” nonsense. No making you feel awkward.

Just two normal humans who happen to be really bloody good at capturing real moments in Scotland’s most jaw-dropping locations.

You don’t need to be a model — you just need to be you.

Behind the Lens

Hey, we are Jodie & Matt

We’re just two down-to-earth people who love capturing elopements. We don’t have an intimidating backstory. In fact we met in the office. We are basically Jim and Pam.

Based in The Highlands, parents to 3 kids and 2.5 dogs (we can explain) and 1 cat, we love Scotland and we want to share it with you.

We love The Big Bang Theory, The Office, Outlander (obvs). We drink too many cocktails (is there such a thing?). And we are STILL pissed about the ending of Game of Thrones. Oh, and Matt is Harry Potter OBSESSED.

For more than a decade, we’ve specialised in photographing Scottish weddings and elopements, helping couples craft unforgettable experiences. We’re here to make your dream day stress-free and uniquely yours.

More About Us

We’re the team for you if…

You’ve never felt comfortable in front of a camera (that’s most people, by the way)
You’d rather laugh than pose
You want photos that look like you, not like a magazine ad

Spoiler: you’re going to look incredible anyway — we’ve just removed all the awkward bits.

Here’s how it actually works:

Couple getting ready in Scotland

You wake up whenever you want. No 5am alarm for hair and makeup. No bridesmaids panicking about the schedule. No drunk uncle asking when the food’s coming.

You have a coffee — or a whisky, we don’t judge — and get ready at your own pace. Maybe you help each other. Maybe you do a first look. Maybe you just wing it.

Couple in wedding attire in Scottish landscape

We’ll take you somewhere stunning — a loch, a mountain, a castle ruin, a beach, a forest. Somewhere that means something to you, or somewhere you’ve never been but always wanted to go.

You say your vows. Could be to each other. Could be with a celebrant. Could be completely made up on the spot. It’s your call — there’s no script here.

Natural, relaxed elopement photography

We take photos throughout — but not in that “stand here, tilt your head, now look at each other like you’re in love” way. We just capture what’s happening. The laughing, the crying, the wind destroying your hair, the bit where you nearly trip over a rock.

The real stuff. The stuff you’ll actually want to remember.

Couple celebrating after ceremony

Then you go celebrate. Fancy restaurant, fish and chips on the harbour, pub lunch, room service in your pants — whatever feels right. It’s your wedding day and there are precisely zero obligations.

That’s it. No receiving line. No speeches. No forced fun. Just you two, married, in Scotland.

Intimate moment between couple in Scottish landscape

This is what it’s all about

Messy hair. Muddy boots. That ugly-laugh face you make when something’s actually funny. The wind absolutely destroying your veil — while you couldn’t care less.

Real moments. Real you. Photos you’ll actually want to look at in 30 years.

What you won’t get

  • “Tilt your chin down and look up through your lashes”
  • Photos that look like someone else wearing your face
  • That uncomfortable “am I doing this right?” feeling all day
  • Photographers who take themselves way too seriously

What you will get

  • Two people who’ll make you forget there’s even a camera
  • Photos that actually look like you (the good version, obviously)
  • Guidance without the cringe — we know what works, without being weird about it
  • A day that’s actually fun — imagine that
Not only do they take AMAZING photographs but they make the day such a memorable experience.
