Glen Coe

Three sisters glencoe elopement photography

We are currently, as far as we know, the only Glencoe Elopement Photographers to actually live in Glencoe and therefore we think we probably know the area better than most!

The road-facing peaks of Aonach Dubh, Beinn Fhada and Gearr Aonach are the mountains that are together known as the Three Sisters of Glencoe, also known as Bidean Nam Bian.

Set approximately 3 miles from Glencoe Village and 18 miles from Fort William, it is pretty accessible although there is no bus service here. There are two main car parks that serve the Three Sisters as well as other road side parking. In summer months, the largest car park is often taken over by touring coaches.

From the car park you have plenty of options for your location – either head down in to the Glen and enjoy the feeling of the mountains towering over you or stay up at the higher areas for a stunning backdrop of Aonach Dubh and Beinn Fhada behind you.

One point of note is that it can get very busy here, especially during the tourists months. If you did want to get married here during peak tourist season, we would advise early morning or late evening and to head deep in to the Glen – approximately a 15 minute walk.
