New Stories

The Hermitage, Dunkeld, Wedding

November 26, 2021

Hey there, fellow lovebirds and photography enthusiasts! Today, I’m thrilled to share with you the heartwarming elopement tale of Rachel and Tony, who celebrated their love amidst the breathtaking beauty of The Hermitage, Dunkeld. Picture this: a small and cozy micro-wedding, a vegan paradise reception at Saorsa 1875 in Pitlochry, and a magical post-wedding shoot in the moody, mist-covered landscapes of Glencoe. Grab a cup of hot cocoa and settle in for this delightful autumn adventure!

When Rachel and Tony first reached out to us about capturing their elopement, we knew it was going to be something extraordinary. These two free-spirited souls wanted an intimate ceremony that truly reflected their values and love for each other. So, on a wet and dreich autumn day, we set out to create memories that would last a lifetime.

The Hermitage, Dunkeld, provided the perfect setting for their heartfelt vows. Nestled within the enchanting Scottish wilderness, this serene location brought an air of tranquility to the day. As the sound of the nearby River Braan thundered through the trees, Rachel and Tony exchanged their promises amidst a handful of their closest loved ones. The rain added a touch of romance to the atmosphere, making it a truly magical experience.

After the heartwarming ceremony, we ventured to the eco-friendly haven of Saorsa 1875 in Pitlochry for the reception. As a vegan hotel, it embodied Rachel and Tony’s values of sustainability and compassion. The newlyweds and their guests were treated to a sumptuous feast of delectable vegan delights, with every bite reflecting the hotel’s commitment to both ethics and flavor. It was an absolute delight to witness their loved ones coming together to celebrate the union of two incredible souls.

A couple of days later, when the rain was still softly drizzling, we embarked on a post-wedding shoot in the mesmerizing landscapes of Glencoe. The Scottish Highlands never disappoint, and even in the autumn rain, their beauty was unparalleled. Rachel and Tony embraced the elements, laughing and dancing, their love radiating through the misty surroundings. As a photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque and love-filled shoot.

Throughout the entire experience, Rachel and Tony remained as bright and warm as the autumn leaves that adorned the hills. Their love for each other shone like a beacon, and it was an absolute privilege to capture those intimate moments that showcased their bond.

So, dear readers, let this story of Rachel and Tony’s elopement at The Hermitage, Dunkeld, serve as a reminder that love knows no boundaries. Whether it’s a grand celebration or a cozy micro-wedding, what truly matters is the connection between two people and the love they share.

I hope this tale of love in the Scottish autumn rain has warmed your hearts and inspired you, as it has for me. And to Rachel and Tony, I wish you a lifetime of happiness, adventures, and love that only grows stronger with each passing day. May the memories of your special day in the Highlands forever hold a place in your hearts, just as it will in mine.

Until next time, happy eloping and keep spreading the love!

Much love
