# The Sassenachs

> Scotland elopement photographers and planning team. Based in the Highlands. 200+ elopements over a decade.

The Sassenachs are Matt and Jodie — elopement photographers who also handle the full planning side. Based at the edge of the Scottish Highlands, working with around 30 couples a year, mostly from the USA, Canada, and Australia.

Their service covers location scouting, help navigating the legal requirements, celebrant and supplier introductions, accommodation and itinerary planning, plus two photographers on the day who also act as ceremony witnesses.

Scotland allows couples to legally marry anywhere with no residency requirement. The Sassenachs know these locations from a decade of shooting in them.

## Pricing

Three packages: Photography Only (one photographer, 6 hours) at £3,200, The Full Experience (both photographers, all day, full planning) at £5,000, and Photography & Film (everything plus video) at £6,000.

## Locations

- Glencoe — home base, majority of elopements
- Edinburgh — city elopements
- The Scottish Borders — rolling hills, ruined abbeys
- Aberdeenshire Coast — Slains Castle, dramatic cliffs
- Cairngorms — ancient forests, mountain lochs
- Perthshire — castles, forests, rivers

They do NOT photograph on the Isle of Skye. They avoid Glencoe June–August (midges) and Edinburgh in August (festivals).
